A little bit about Lauren Geiger
Has over a decade of experience in the construction industry servicing Lexington, KY. With a background in Architecture, Lauren leads her team of knowledgeable experts that will take care of you and your family.
Her biggest joy is making a house a home for her clients. Seeing their faces and hearing their reactions when they see the finished project is really what started her love for this business in the first place.
Lauren is also very involved in her community where she personally calls home right here in Lexington, KY. Lauren is a children sponsor annually for the Angel Tree, a sponsor for LaFayette dance team, Frederick Douglas Cheer team, Palomar swim team, and donates classroom supplies to Meadowthorpe elementary annually.
Giving back to the community, especially programs that support our youth, is something that is very important to Lauren. Lauren is also a member of the BIA and the Better Business Bureau.
Lauren says “At the end of the day, when it comes to running a business, doing right by my clients, workers, and staff, no matter what the cost, is what is most important to me”.

I was extremely impressed with Lauren from Bluegrass Builders & Remodel. She arrived early to our appointment and took her time thoroughly assessing my home. She was professional, knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly gracious throughout the entire process. Although it took a bit longer than expected to receive the final quote, Lauren was proactive in keeping me updated, apologizing sincerely for the delay, and explaining the reason behind it. Ultimately, I decided to postpone any major remodeling after the recent loss of my mother, honoring her wish for me to wait a year. Even so, Lauren’s professionalism, empathy, and understanding left a lasting impression. When the time comes to move forward, she’ll be the first person I contact for an updated quote.
First and foremost, want to say how pleased we were to have selected Bluegrass Builders and Remodel as our contractor to bring our 1980's bathrooms into the 2020's!! We had two full bathrooms and a powder room to address. We had already updated the showers several years ago in the two full baths but the rest of the bathrooms were outdated. We had a rough idea of what we would like to have done and explained that to Lauren and her staff. They quickly provided recommendations and vendors that provided high quality workmanship and products that met or exceeded our expectations. They worked diligently to ensure high quality workmanship throughout the job. The communications and response to any questions or concerns was immediate. The project manager, Erik, paid attention to details and was a pleasure to work with. The overall project was completed on schedule and budget. We could not have had a better experience. Highly recommend.
I started out with Bluegrass Builders remodeling my bathroom and creating a walk in closet. I was so happy with my bathroom and closet I kept going thru the house. They painted and wallpapered my bed room, Painted and wallpapered my dinning and living room. Now I am in the process of tearing out my kitchen and replacing everything. I live in a house that is 100 years old. There have been all kind of issues come up, but Lauren and her team made it all work. I am 100% happy with Bluegrass Builders and would recommend them to everyone.

Bluegrass Builders and Remodel is proud to be the recipient of the 2023 People's Choice Award from the Building Industry Association of Central Kentucky (BIA). Founded in 1952, the BIA has grown to become a cornerstone of the building industry in the region. Initially known as the Home Builders Association of Lexington, the organization was established by local home builders who sought to unite and advocate for the industry. Over the past 72 years, BIA members have built, remodeled, and provided services and products for countless homes across Lexington and Central Kentucky.
In 2016, the Association rebranded as the Building Industry Association of Central KY to better reflect the diverse range of services its members provide. In addition to offering support and growth opportunities to members, the BIA has established a trade school, The Building Institute, in 2014, ensuring future generations of skilled workers.

"BBR remodeled the upstairs bathroom in our 1920's home. We wanted a bathroom we loved but had limited space. Lauren and her designer found a way to create space and give the bathroom a bigger feel. AND we just love it! Even as they finished up the project adding things to the finish list, Lauren was willing to re-do something if it didn't meet our standard, loving it. Communication was great. When work started we worried about what would be found behind the walls that would add to the budget. Lots was found but Lauren's experience allowed her to include these "surprises" into our agreed upon budget. Sticking to budget was really important to us. Her ability to predict and plan for the real expense of the project was appreciated. The only time we paid more was when we wanted to go with a more expensive tile or fixture than the allowance projected. Lauren was clear upfront about these changes, letting us sign off on both of them before moving forward. We're already excited thinking about what she can do with our kitchen."
