I started out with Bluegrass Builders remodeling my bathroom and creating a walk in closet. I was so happy with my bathroom and closet I kept going thru the house. They painted and wallpapered my bed room, Painted and wallpapered my dinning and living room. Now I am in the process of tearing out my kitchen and replacing everything. I live in a house that is 100 years old. There have been all kind of issues come up, but Lauren and her team made it all work. I am 100% happy with Bluegrass Builders and would recommend them to everyone.
This review focuses on the quality of construction work and materials for renovating two bathrooms and installing a kitchen pantry. BBR renovated the master and guest bathrooms with new showers, cabinets, vanities, and fixtures. The cabinets and vanities were Amish-quality in their fit and finish, as was the pantry; the guest bathroom shower was a fiberglass insert and the master was tiled, and both came out great. The work was consistently checked for accuracy and any problems were addressed right away. The overall project was completed on schedule. Highly recommended!
BBR just completed a remodel and addition on our home and I cannot recommend them enough. Our first contractor fell through and Lauren swooped in and saved the day. For my family, communication was imperative and they knocked it out of the park. I was always of aware of what was happening and when either by text/call or through their project portal. The work completed on our home is absolutely gorgeous and, while we've always loved our home, are even more in love with it now. BBR took our initial idea, improved upon it and gave us everything we asked for and more. If you are in the market for a contractor, Lauren is your girl!
I had a “granny pod” built for my mom by Bluegrass Builders. It was a bit of a difficult job as local code required it to be attached to our existing house. Bluegrass Builders navigated all the bureaucracy and built my mom an absolutely beautiful home. My mother loves it. Bluegrass Builders was attentive to her needs and requests and were amazing to work with. I’d be happy to recommend them anyone.
BBR remodeled the upstairs bathroom in our 1920's home. We wanted a bathroom we loved but had limited space. Lauren and her designer found a way to create space and give the bathroom a bigger feel. AND we just love it! Even as they finished up the project adding things to the finish list, Lauren was willing to re-do something if it didn't meet our standard, loving it. Communication was great. When work started we worried about what would be found behind the walls that would add to the budget. Lots was found but Lauren's experience allowed her to include these "surprises" into our agreed upon budget. Sticking to budget was really important to us. Her ability to predict and plan for the real expense of the project was appreciated. The only time we paid more was when we wanted to go with a more expensive tile or fixture than the allowance projected. Lauren was clear upfront about these changes, letting us sign off on both of them before moving forward. We're already excited thinking about what she can do with our kitchen.
Lauren and Bluegrass Builders recently renovated our kitchen. This is our second major project with her team and as usual, it could not have gone smoother. No contractor in town is more responsive or more concerned about making the customer happy. Thanks again Lauren, can’t wait to call on the next one!
Lauren and her crew were wonderful with making my dream sunroom addition and deck a true oasis. They worked diligently to ensure quality workmanship throughout. The communication and response to any questions or concerns were immediate. The project manager, Erik, paid attention to detail and was a pleasure to work with. Each subcontractor was very respectful to my property and family. I look forward to working with them on my next project.
After a very successful bathroom remodel, we knew we wanted to use BBR again for our kitchen. Lauren worked with us to make our vision come true. The contractors all did top quality work in a timely fashion. We added a few projects along the way and Lauren always got approval for additional costs before proceeding. Even with the extra projects, she finished the job on time. Professional cleaning at the end of both remodels was a welcome and nice touch. Highly recommend!

Bluegrass Builders just finished remodeling our guest bathroom and it turned out beautiful! Our home was built in 1936 so we ran into a few challenges during the project. Lauren worked with us through every challenge, from demo to selecting finishes and paint colors. She was committed to making us happy customers. Even though this is our guest bathroom, it is now one of our favorite rooms in the house.
